Senior Usher Board
Men of Valor - This ministry is made up of men
who are being trained for deaconship. They are responsible for being
extensions of the Pastor and aiding him as needed.
Senior Usher Board - This ministry is committed
to serving those who attend our services. They stand ready and willing to
accommodate our worshipers as the need occurs. They usher on the 1st and
4th Sundays of every month.
Pastor's Choir - This is the main choir.
It is responsible for providing the music ministry for morning service.
This choir is open to any member, no matter the age. The Pastor's choir
sings on the 1st and 4th Sunday of every month.
United Youth Christian Association (U.Y.C.A.) -
This is our phenomenal youth ministry! It's purpose is to nurture and
nourish spiritual growth in young people who are between the ages of 13 and 18.
It accomplishes its purpose through the following endeavors:
Wednesday night weekly Bible Study
The Youth Choir provides the music ministry for the morning
service on the 2nd Sunday of every month.
Fellowship activities and social outings that are designed to
build and strengthen relationships.
Starlight Band - This ministry is tasked with
the job of engaging and spiritually developing our littlest ones. It
includes kiddies from ages 4 to 12. The Starlight Band ushers on the 2nd
Sunday of every month, under the direction of Sister Marilyn Wilson.
Sister Wilson also plans social activities and outings that are designed to show
kiddies the fun side of belonging to a Christian family.
Care and Bereavement Ministry - This ministry
provides all necessary and requested services to our members who are grieving
the death of a loved one. They schedule workshops and conferences for care
givers and those who need care to discuss how to deal with grief and provide
care to those who are grieving.
Young Adult Ministry - The mission of the young
adult ministry is to culture an environment that will allow both mental and
spiritual transformations in the lives of young adults. This
transformation will be from hearing, but most importantly, doing God's most
Holy Word.
This ministry includes young adults who are between the ages of 18 to 35.
They have Wednesday night bible studies on a weekly basis. They sing with
the U.Y.C.A. on 5th Sundays. They attend and organize conferences,
workshops, seminars, and spiritual retreats. They act as mentors and
"bridge builders" to the youth who are members of the U.Y.C.A..
Through planned activities and social events, this ministry provides
entertainment that is in accordance with the princples in God's Word.
Golden Agers - This is a social group that plans
fellowship activities throughout the year for our church members who are ages 55
and older.
Missionaries - This ministry is responsible for
visiting the sick and shut in, as well as prisons. They serve during
communion on the 4th Sunday of every month. They meet on the 1st and 3rd
Tuesday of every month, to discuss the application of the Word to daily living
and providing service to those in need.
Discipleship Counselors -
This ministry is responsible for counseling those who come as candidates
for baptism. They speak with new converts immediately following their
acceptance of invitation and counsel them as to the importance and specifics of
giving their lives to Jesus Christ.
Nurses - Our nurses provide health and spiritual
care to members during services and attend union district functions.
